BE HERE WHEN THE HUMPBACKS ARE.
If you time your Hilton Los Cabos stay between the end of December and the end of March, you’ll be in prime season to see these majestic creatures in action. Humpback whales migrate about 6,000 miles from the cold currents of the Bering Sea in Alaska to our temperate waters; when they’re here, mothers and their calves learn survival skills while rising to the surface, spouting water, and leaping above the waves. A variety of tours are available, along with shark and dolphin viewing.
Whale Photo Safari
One popular tour from Cabo Adventures is the Whale Photo Safari, which puts you on an all-weather inflatable speed boat to search the bay for whales. Marine mammal experts will be on hand to help expand your knowledge and awareness, while providing tips on how to take the most memorable photos. You’ll even hear the relaxing sounds of whales communicating with an on-board hydrophone.
This 2.5-hour tour operates daily during whale season, with various departures. It includes round-trip transportation, inflatable speed boats, bottled water, light snack, expert guides, hydrophone, and a professional photographer on board.
